After a career of protecting employee health in the shipyard and aerospace industries, Bridget New entered a post-baccalaureate teaching program in upper elementary and secondary mathematics and accepted a 9th grade teaching position within a year. Though Bridget enjoyed teaching in private and public high school and college classrooms, most fulfilling for her is 1-on-1 face-to-face tutoring of students of all ages with diverse backgrounds, learning abilities and learning styles. Ms. New’s education includes a BS in Environmental Health from Louisiana State University; a Post Baccalaureate Teaching Certificate from Southern University at New Orleans; a MSPH in Industrial Hygiene and a MSPH in Biostatistics both from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine; and graduate mathematics courses at Loyola and Clayton State Universities.
